The economy has been rough on all of us. There is no doubt about that! But, that doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy life. Because so many people have put a hold on their travel budget, the airlines have actually cut prices and there are now many last minute cheap flights available.

You don’t have to book weeks or even months ahead of time any more to get a good price on a flight. With just a few days’ notice, you can be on a flight to the destination of your dreams at very little cost.

There are many last minute cheap flights available to some of the most popular tourist destinations.

1. New York City – New York has the advantage of having numerous airports, so there are almost always flights going in and out at any time of the day or night. If you can’t get a flight at one airport, JFK for example, then try LaGuardia or one of the outlying airports.

Once in New York, you might have to spend a little more for a hotel than in other cities, but there is just so much to do, that you really can’t afford not to go.

2. One of the cheapest places to fly into and stay is Las Vegas. For those of you who have only seen Vegas in the movies or on television, those pictures do not do this town justice. When you first turn onto the Strip and see the lights, you simply won’t believe it.

Vegas has a lot to offer anyone, from families to a weekend with the boys, there is non-stop action. Gambling, great food, some of the best bars and clubs in the world, wonderful spas and exciting pool-side action make Vegas the best place in the world to spend the weekend.

3. If you are looking for a foreign destination, then nothing beats Amsterdam for fun. Legalized prostitution, legalized drugs (within reason, of course!), and free-flowing beer make this a place for a weekend to remember – although you might not remember it at all!

Amsterdam, of course, has more to offer than that – historical sites, incredible museums and art galleries, stunning architecture.

There are numerous last minute cheap flights to many more destinations. All you really have to do is decide what kind of trip you are looking for.

A quick weekend of fun with your mates, or a trip through history – there are so many places worth visiting it seems like a shame to stay home!
